Hollywood actor Pedro Pascal has openly criticised J K Rowling. He called her a 'heinous loser' for her anti-trans views. This comes after Rowling's social media posts celebrating a UK Supreme Court ruling. The ruling impacts the legal recognition of trans women. Pascal is a vocal supporter of the trans community.
The Last of Us star criticized the Harry Potter author's anti-trans stance, labeling her a "heinous loser" following her social media activity after a UK Supreme Court ruling regarding trans women's rights. Rowling has been vocal about women's rights issues, particularly concerning the definition of "sex" in law.

Pascal's comment came in response to an Instagram video. The video argued that Rowling was "reveling" in the UK Supreme Court's decision against trans women.

"Awful disgusting s- is exactly right. Heinous LOSER behavior (sic)," he wrote. Rowling's social media activity included a celebratory post after the ruling. She posted a photo of herself smoking a cigar and having a drink.

"I love it when a plan comes together. #SupremeCourt #WomensRights," she captioned.

She also addressed her critics directly in another post. "I get the same royalties whether you read (my books) or burn them. Enjoy your marshmallows!"

Pascal has consistently shown support for the trans community. His sister, Lux, is a trans actress. In a 2023 Esquire interview, Pascal spoke about his sister.

"My protective side is lethal, but I need her more than she needs me," he said.

He also stated that his sister has "always been one of the most powerful people and personalities" he has ever known.

The Supreme Court ruling in the UK stated that trans women should not be legally recognized as women. It also stated that "sex" should legally mean biological sex. This decision sparked considerable debate and online commentary. Rowling's posts reflected her support for this ruling and her views on women's rights.
