Actress Kriti Kharbanda has expressed her grief and highlighted the mental trauma faced by the victims' families, urging support and emphasizing unity. She called for mental health professionals, NGOs, and the government to provide immediate assistance to the affected families.

The Pahalgam terror attack has deeply affected many, says Kriti Kharbanda

Kriti shared her thoughts on her IG stories, expressing the weight on her heart and feeling compelled to share them.

Talking about the real struggles of PTSD (Post-traumatic stress disorder), Kriti urged mental health professionals to come to their aid.
"I urge our government, mental health professionals, NGOs, and anyone who works in the space of emotional healing - please don't wait for these families to reach out. Reach out to them. The ones who are gone, are gone. But the ones still here need us. They may never recover, but they can be helped to cope. Every second we wait, the trauma seeps deeper,\" she wrote.

Kharbanda emphasized the importance of reaching out to the families affected by the attack, stressing that the trauma deepens with every passing second. She highlighted the need for support to help them cope, even if they may never fully recover.

Kriti also emphasized that terrorism has no religion and that the attack was meant to divide us.

"Terrorism has no religion. It is not the act of a faith, but the act of individuals- of a twisted, cowardly mindset. It takes nothing but cruelty to attack people at their most vulnerable. On a holiday they're laughing. While they're free. This wasn't just meant to scare us. It was meant to divide us. And we must not let it.

She further elaborated on the dangers of associating violence with religion.

"There are no good or bad religions. We never say someone did something kind because of their religion- but the second something violent happens, we rush to find a religious cause. This is not only unfair, it is dangerous. And it takes us further away from the one thing we all are- human,\" Kriti added.

Kharbanda pointed out the unfairness and danger of attributing violent acts to religion, emphasizing that it distracts from our shared humanity. She highlighted that kindness is rarely attributed to religion, while violence is quickly associated with it.

Kriti concluded her post with a message of unity and resilience.

"We are not expected to move past this. But we can learn to move with it...Together."

The actress urged people to stand together and learn to move forward with the trauma, rather than trying to simply move past it.
